    Default Mallard Limit Cut

The Atlantic Flyway Council is reducing the mallard limit in the Flyway from 4 to 2 starting in the 2019/2020 season!

I don't blame them one bit! I've killed more blacks ducks in recent years than mallards! They need to up the wood duck limit to 4 or 5.

Is that their recommendation or is it already approved?

EDIT: I'm glad...hopefully it will reduce some of the duckcommander posers from being out on the water.

I doubt it. They will kill more "limits" this way.

I read a write up on this a few months ago. If they take us down to 2 then it is what it is. Will just kill our three woodies and two mallards.

Just shoot the Carolina Mix... Two mallards, three wood ducks, and the first ringer you see.

Won't affect the coastal mix....4 teal, 1 gadwall, and 1 shoveler.

Will this effect the tamie operations?

I would imagine the tamie farmers will apply for a special preserve permit, exempting them from mallard limits. They didn't want to go that route in the past.

About 10 years overdue. Good on them. But let me add that if the total limit stays at 6 ducks, it will be all for naught...

Had a friend send me this last week. While it isn’t set in stone the chances of it happening are better than the chances of it not happening
