Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
Yesterday I saw 2 hens and 14 very little ones feeding and enjoying the rain in one of my fields.
I still feel like the trapping I’ve done over the past 3 years has helped....if not, I’m at least telling myself it has.

Just saw a hen with 6 poults on my farm and 4 hens with about 20 or so poults on one of my turkey tracts. I've been seeing more poults this year then I have in the past 2 or 3 years.
I saw 7 hens yesterday...not one poult

Reckon that 5 was a group of Jennies, that weren’t old enough to have nests yet?

Saw about a dozen more in a foodplot today.
Today i saw 2 hens cross highway 45 in Alvin. One had 6 3-4 inch poults. After they crossed one about the size of a quail took flight to cross the highway. It was picked off halfway across the road by a hawk that came from out of nowhere. Unbelievable.
They’ve all drowned
