We use to raise for Tyson. They got money hungry and quit looking out for the smaller farms(wouldn’t extend contracts/denied building houses) and only catered to the Vietnamese women coming over here and building 12-16 house farms. Needless to say we grow for Purdue now and it’s been a joy. They’re very thankful for us smaller farmers.

As far as hormones, that’s a load of bullshit. Sportin’ hit the nail on the head.

I saw a documentary once and there were people washing clothes, bathing and drinking from the Ganges while bodies floated past..

Was in Sams yesterday and they were out of "regular" birds. Had dem organic bastads from 11.00 to 15.00. Held off and picked up a couple of Tyson birds early this am. Just took 'em off the smoke. Love me some BBQ bird but was surprised by what an organic one sells for.

“A totally vegetarian diet”.....I got news for those folks, there ain’t nothing organic about a chicken being a vegetarian.

Not that I would but, that just got checked off places to visit were I inclined to travel abroad. That's just nasty.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

We had a Patel chick roll in on us about 8th grade. Fragrant does not describe the odour that she emanated in a tiny classroom in Hell (Columbia SC) on a hot and humid day...

I just wish you could find whole chickens that weren’t the size of small turkeys on a regular basis. I snatch up every small bird I can find - for frying.

The first four letters of your username told us all we needed to know on your organics and the like.

I tend to scoff at the organic food and vitamins my wife puts in front of me. She even started putting spirulena and flaxseed in my protein shake breakfasts. Then I got the best blood test results my doctor has ever seen from me, and all of that without giving up alcohol, etc. Muscle tone has improved, strength has improved, folks ask if I'm losing weight, but I've actually gained five pounds...

I stopped giving her a hard time about her "fad" beliefs.

We had about half a ton of flaxseed to get rid of. Tried feeding it to ducks. Nope. Then hogs. Nope. Even the mice would not touch it...
