Default Remedies for swollen eyes ????

    Never had this happen before

Was bushogging my SIL/Daughters place yesterday for dove field/deer food plots and while on the tractor my eyes started itching

Well by end of day my eyes very swollen and when I got home took a shower and popped some Benadryl and that seemed to help

Swelling has done down some but little bit itching and teary some too

Will be in drivers ed car all day today with teenagers so afraid to take Benadryl, seems to put me to sleep very easy

Wife told me to get some eye drops at Walgreens this am, said that would help with itching but not sure about swelling

I get them bad after a day on the tractor. Just part of it. Try a bag of frozen peas, some drops and a Zyrtec.

Sudafed or chlortrimiton BEFORE you mow. Not nearly as soporific as benadryl.

Got it bad last Saturday while bush hogging....was in and out of some smaller oaks trees that need limbing.....thought I must have been spider bit or brushed some kind of f-ed up caterpillar or something. Couldn’t hardly see when I left the farm my head was so swollen. Swelling went down after 2 days. Yesterday was the first day I didn’t want to itch my eyes out. Still not sure what I got into.

I get it bad this time of year while bushogging. I take 2 benadryl before I get on the tractor and carry some allergy eye drops with me. I will also take a prednisone when I get home and it helps with the swelling. If they start itching again before you go to bed try putting a cold wash cloth over your eyes.

If it's too bad try wearing a mask so you're not breathing in the dust or just work on a rainy day.

I've thought about doing the same for the damn field mice. But, after possibly mixing in a few beers, I figured it may not be such a great idea.

Next time, take generic Claritin beforehand.

It got me bad about two weeks ago. Took some Benadryl and was good to go. Wore a cheap paper 3m mask the next afternoon while finishing up and it made all the difference in the world.

I don’t know what I got into in GA last week hunting but I swole up like I went 12 rounds with Balboa......shit was painful and down right concerning.
