Did anyone else happen to notice the 9th inning of the game Saturday when Soto hit what should have been a "can of corn" straight to acuna and he ran toward the ball, stopped short 10 feet out, caught what should have been the game ending catch on a one hop,then just opened his glove and dropped the ball letting the bases get loaded? Even Caray and Francoeur wtf'd that one.

Me and my 11 year old son call Will Smith "2 walk will." He always walks the fist 2 batters he faces.

And 2th doc agreed with me. I can retire now. I'm not going to, but I could.

Everyone saw that play. It was so bad, none of the Acunties want to admit it happened ..

Can’t wait to see Scherzer mow Acuna down .. if he has had a tough go at the plate against the pitching of the last two teams, the Mets are going to keep his 0 fors going. The rest of the lineup should carry us across the finish line with a couple Ws against the Mets.

at least you can die happy.

and, yes, that was the play that was on my mind. we got the next guy out and won the game...and maybe keeping the ball in front of him is the "safe" play but even the announcers expected him to make that catch. and they watch more baseball than I do!

Acuna has become a turd! May be a very good reason why he now "has a attitude" and also can't stay off IL.... Those two things have a way of going together in the game over the last 30 yrs. He still has a bunch of money on his contract and is now becoming a liability. He may find himself "Manny'ied" or Puig'ied before long if he isn't careful.

I had a guy at work tell me that I should look when the cameras pan to the stands and look at all the acuna jerseys in the crowd and that that's why he's an all star. I said no, those people bought those jerseys when they were $69 bucks at academy and now they can't afford gas to get the game AND a $159 Riley or Swanson jersey so they're just recycling their old #13 dust rags.

If yall notice, whomever from the opposing team Acuna high fives, fist bumps,and hugs on the most (Soto, Lindor, Chisolm), are whose hits he "mishandles" in the outfield.
