Albies out for an undetermined number of weeks. Fractured his foot. That sucks.

    Fried takes the mound tonight...
The guy has played in 20 complete games after coming back early from blowing out his ACL. Hitting over .300 and has 11 stolen bases. In that small sample size, no way I would call that underperforming.

    We gonna have to disagree.

If he hits 30 HRs and 100 RBIs, I might reconsider my opinion.

    It's not really a disagreement ... You're just wrong.

If Acuna was on another team I wouldn't be able to stand him. I can barely tolerate him but he's on the Braves so I'm a hypocrite when it comes to him ... With that said, he's good, and there isn't any denying that.

If I was an opposing pitcher and he hit a HR off of me I would drill his showboating ass in the ear with a fastball everytime he came up to bat.

This isn't the 90's. The game has evolved. At the end of the day, its pretty simple. You don't like for someone to celebrate hitting a homerun off of you? Don't give up a homerun.

Arcia will likely get the nod.

Braves are alternating every two days between Contreras on D'Arnaud on the C position. I think Contreras can play most positions on the diamond.

There's a difference in celebrating and showboating. Watch Albies when he hits one. He's excited and his reactio/ celebration is genuine. Acunias is contrived and pure showboating. Just like his reactions everytime he gets a hangnail

I grew up playing baseball the same way (no showboating, hit it and run).

With that said, I don't like it, but the game has changed. Every team has at least one guy, if not multiple guys, who take showboating to the extreme. if you put a fastball in the ribs of someone for showboating, one of your team mates is going to get it right back.

And you never throw at the head, period.

I'm ok with over the top celebration if you hit a walk off. Where I draw the line, in my head at least, is why do that for a double or just a regular home run during the middle of the game?

Damm throwing at the head. Bounce 1 off that ankle bone and he'll remember that shit for a month. Hell, blind side blitz his ass rounding 3rd like that pitcher did a few weeks back. Just don't go aiming at the head.

With my fastback he wouldn't even bother to duck. Probably just laugh at me.

I'm with nitro and flockbuster. Acuna's a great player, but the theatrics and showboating are old. I still say it's what got him hurt last year, and he can't even come ne up with his own stuff- he's just copying other jerkoffs.

Fun to watch what the bottom of the lineup is doing. Would be unstoppable if Olson and Acuna turn things around.

    Damn right.

For the Acuna fans, his BA is now sub .300 and he went 1 for 15 in the Nats series. Juuuuuuuust sayin. Arcia ( who is playing second) 7 for 9 since Albie's injury.

Morton on Friday against the Cubs as the Braves attempt to win 15 straight and tie the franchise record from 2000. Exciting times all of a sudden. 4 games back on the Mets.
