    You can add another accolade to Ryan Hilinski’s resume as the recent South Carolina quarterback commit has been added to the 2019 Under Armour All-American team this week.

    The California native, rated as the No. 8 pro-style passer in the nation by 247Sports Composite Rankings, announced his pledge to the Gamecocks last week. He’s currently the program’s second-highest rated commit for the 2019 recruiting cycle but projects to get a bump in ratings thanks to his latest honor.

    After throwing for 3,767 yards and 33 touchdowns as a junior, Hilinski was thrilled to announce his addition to the elite roster of high school talent. Credit goes to Will Muschamp and his staff for identifying and landing the signal-caller early while his hype continues to grow.

    That's a good signing. I wish him all the best. Although, I sure wouldn't want to be him. Just think of the helmet he'll have to fill when he gets an opportunity. That's one BIG helmet. I couldn't imagine the pressure of trying to match JB's accomplishments. The coot fan base could turn on him quickly, if he doesn't produce 5 or 6 wins , and third in the east the first year.
    Of course he will have a year under lil' Jakes shadow. He'll learn to flop, overthrow, under throw, get up indignantly after running for his life and being sacked, and running downfield after a touchdown(fingersshaking # 1 to the sky) pass against
    an FCS opponent.
    I can see why gamecock nation is geeked. SPURS UP.
