    Default Mid Afternoon Lake Murray

Took the rig I rebuilt out for the first time for a shakedown cruise.
Hit the water at 3:30 and found a few fish. All on artificial
Thanks to Cajunwannabe for pointing us in the right direction and using his private ramp!
Boat ran like a scalded dog and didn't have a drop of water leak into it.
Ready to head to the marsh next weekend

Installing the trolling motor tonight. Wasn't expecting too much at 3pm and a little breezy
but started marking some huge bait balls in 20 - 25ft of water and the fish were there

I primed it and rattle canned it with a high grade self etching paint and primer. Looks pretty cool and like it was shot with a paint gun. Gets a lot of compliments.
I think Coot Nasty painted the grass on it from cardboard homemade stencils.

Boat looks great...Serious question....mainly because I know it was done on purpose.

What is reasoning for adding the side rails? Fishing/hunting oriented? Kids/grandkids?

They are custom made, stainless steel and blacked out. The boat has fairly low sides and I just like handrails so left them.
They get used and are not one bit ever in the way. My wife will appreciate holding on to them when I get up on plane and when I fabricate the duck blind, I plan
to incorporate it into them somehow. I also like to flounder gig and at night rails are nice too, particularly around the bow cap.....in my opinion. Would only take 30 minutes to
take them all off. All the custom fab work comes in handy when you go to sell these things too

I figured someone had them custom made for some specific use...ought to make it easy to incorporate a blind and gigging lights.
