Hunting seasons for ducks, coots, geese, teal and migratory game birds for this year were set during a Missouri Conservation Commission meeting on Thursday.

For duck hunting:

The North Zone season will be open from Nov. 3 through Jan. 1, 2019.
The Middle Zone season will be open from Nov. 3 through Nov. 9, and reopen from Nov. 15 through Jan. 6, 2019.
The South Zone season will be open from Nov. 22 through Nov. 25, and reopen from Dec. 3 through Jan. 27, 2019.
Ducks and coots share the same hunting periods.

Geese hunters can hunt snow geese, Ross's geese and white-fronted geese between Nov. 11 and Feb. 6, 2019. For Canada geese and brant, an extra week is allowed between Oct. 6 and Oct. 14.

Apart from waterfowl, the hunting seasons for various migratory game birds will start as early as September and end as late as December.

Youth Hunting Days, which are for hunters 15 years old or younger, were also set and approved by the commission. The dates for the North and Middle Zones are Oct. 20 and 21. The dates for the South Zone are Nov. 17 and 18.
