    everyone but stripa....

I have a big pair of binocs that are just too bulky to use when bow hunting. i usually take them and hang them on the tree.....and never use them, but i just feel more comfortable when i hunt with binoculars. I am heading to maryland next week to bow hunt for a few days and want to pick up a pair of compact binocs in the 6-8x range with an objective of 25-40ish(??) i do not expect them to be badass, lowlight binocs, but i do want a decent pair of binocs that might be able to double as a pair i take turkey hunting.

size matters. quality matters. price matters. and they have to be bought "off the rack" since i leave in a week.

any bow hunters out there have a pair they like?

    besides stripa....
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

I used 9X35 Leupold. I'm not sure they make this type any more. Each lens adjusts separately. I like that for focusing in on 20 yds.

Check out the Leupold Wind River series of roof prism 'nocs. I have the 10x42 Pinnacles and love them. I bought my dad a pair of the less expensive Cascades or some such name and it's hard to see the difference. When you get them, swap out the neck strap with the cross shoulder harness that Cabela's sells. The harness keeps them out of the way when shooting the bow and keeps them from flopping around on your chest when you walk. The also help steady the 'nocs when viewing.

Ok, Chopper Mopper, I picked these out just for you.

Bug hit the nail on the head. If you'll get some Bino Buddies, you won't need more compact binos.

My last tip for the stubborn little tender foot. Go to Office Depot and get some Avery Labels. Print some that say "WWCD?" Stick them on the belly of your bow limbs and look at it when ol mossy back is headed your way and you'll be good to go.

Check out the Nikon monarch binos.
