Is the permitting process a lengthy one?

No. Call DNR and they will issue you tags. We used to get them all the time and its easy. There is a minimum size (acreage-wise) that they require. I think it is ten.

If it's ten, we've been lying on applications in the past.

    Whatever works, though.

It is NOT a lengthy process. If I remember correctly, it was a quick phone call and an old application was referenced for a new tag.

Call DNR is the best answer, but just FYI...if you feel your life is threaten (or your child's life) you have the right to protect yourself and take him out...no permit needed.

If that gator is still there right now, then he's at least been Yankified.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Some scumbag or his worthless offspring have fed the poor dumb beast. Unfortunately you can't kill worthless scumbags so now you have to kill the gator. It just ain't right.
