Either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing.

i must be confused again. I think its terminology. I see you posted NAWCA grant money and info on the fee simple vs conservation bank easements....but explain wtf that has to do with the SC Conservation Bank other than matching funds.

I dont want or care about "fee simple" or Nawca or public access. I care about a conservation easement on my property so it doesnt fall into the hands of developers. and I dont care if people think that's selfish. I bought it. I paid for it. I plan to keep using it till I die. I would like to know that it will stay that way long after I'm dead. Simple enough....

Put it in a land trust. You can will it or sell it. They can sell it. But your wishes will have to be followed for now and ever more.

You do realize that most of the conservation easements in the state have nothing to do with the Conservation Bank?

Embrace it. It means you’re getting smarter.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

shockingly, I was going with the title of the thread from our esteemed congressman, but dont let me stop any good thread derailment.

The house bill passed third reading and is now in the Senate.

    Toofer
The bill removes the sunset provision and treats the Bank as an agency.

It allows the Bank to continue to fund both easements and purchases.

There is NO requirement for public access on easements.

    Any questions?
