Well I went this weekend and was hunting both public and private land. After walking all over the 25,000 acres of private land we had to hunt for two days, we finally found the pigs. I shot a fat sow at 23 yards and was a little behind where I wanted to place the arrow. After following a pretty good blood trail for 200 yards, it ended in the swamp. The pig was nowhere. We asked some guys with dogs if they would help us track her and they said she might have wallowed around, plugged those holes up and kept on going. I was pissed for missing my target. So we brought the currs out and within twenty minutes were on some new hogs. The dogs singled out a 100 pound cut boar (they let a russian get away, but I didn't have time to let this one go, I had to leave in a few hours) and I placed an arrow right through the heart, the pig stumbled for a second and fell over. Gutted and skinned, it's sitting in my freezer waiting for a warm day to smoke the thing whole with a keg.
