    Default Deon Cain

Just read where he declared for the NFL draft.
    Was this expected?
I saw where Ray Ray checked out a few days ago along with left guard Hearnes and safety Van Smith.
I also heard defensive linemen Wilkins, Ferrell and Bryant could declare by end of day Friday.
Can't blame them, that's a whole lotta cash not to sign the dotted line for.

I’m hearing what you are hearing except that Wilkins, Ferrell, and Bryant are staying. Everyone else has already declared.

I think Cain should stay another year but who knows. Tee Higgins and amari Rodgers will take their spots

With wilkins, why stay? He would be first round money. Anyone staying that can go in the first round or not is stupid. Insurance policy or not.

None of the DL received first round grades, only second and third. Also, it is being reported that these guys are extremely close friends, value getting their degree and legitimately enjoy the college life, which is making their decision difficult.

Hearn is getting married and ready to move on, NFL or not.

I can't explain Cain and RayRay...

Neither Cain or McCloud have done enough to be high grade picks. Cain drops more catches than he makes and McCloud hasn’t proven he can hold onto the ball.

I have an ole friend that was a Grad Assist. for defense at Clemson years ago. This is the case for everywhere, not just Clemson. When you see a kid go pro early and it doesn't make sense, he probably has grade issues or they have ran out of bullshit classes to give him.

Roquan Smith is a 1st rounder. He gone. Hasn't said it, but would be a fool to stay.

No way wilkins, Ferrell and bryant stay. If they did, wow.....That would be incredible. That would put Clemson in a position to continue their 7 year streak of finishing the season ranked equal to or higher than their preseason ranking. Who does that?

I don't know much about rogers, but after seeing Higgins play some this year, I think he is reloading.

More like upgrading, he can actually catch the ball when it hits his hands. Now, if they'll just put in a QB that can throw the ball.

Ray Ray is a good athlete, but he fields punts like he does not have any hands on the end of his arms. I will not miss seeing him stand back there waiting for the ball to fall from the sky and bounce off of his stubs.

Cain has the physical tools, but like someone mentioned, he drops as many as he catches. Nowhere near a #1, #2, #6, #7 #13 (Humphries OR Renfrow), or a #18, all of whom recently came through that program and now work on Sundays.

And #34 would be fine as a KR/PR, or even a slot. He just needs to work on dropping the ball after he crosses the goal line.

I would say that #34 has probably fumbled or muffed at least 6 punts in the last two seasons. Maybe more. I think he could have helped himself out coming back another year, but not having to hold my breath every time he fields a punt will be nice.

Cain might play in CFL. I heard the XFL might be coming back. Higgins was pushing him for playing time since showing up in August. Had he enrolled early, he may be starting now. There are also Diondre Overton and another one I cant think of that need to see the field too. Higgins will be the next Williams type receiver. We need someone to fight for the ball in the air.

Ray Ray has the tools to be a heck of a return specialist at the next level. Fielding kicks is between the ears like kicking and golf. Someone will take him 5-6 round or sign him as a free agent and make him a project. If he can get it out of his head, he could be dangerous.

Cain gonna get his feelings hurt when it comes time to call his name. Like Salty said, he drops way to many balls.

Agreed. Hope he plans the big draft cookout/party for LATE Friday or Saturday, rather than Thursday night...
