Someone was telling me the other night that he "cans" tuna by putting raw tuna in a mason jar, screwing the lid on, boil the whole thing for 26 minutes, then take it out and let it cool. Everything I have found says that the tuna needs to be canned in apressure canner and cooked for at least 100 minutes. Anyone have any suggestions?

If you try to boil a closed mason jar in anything other than a pressure cooker, be sure to do it outside and wear your safety glasses.

Why would you waste such a beautiful creature by boiling it for tuna salad.

Grill it while it is fresh.

The best tuna salad I ever ate was made of fresh tuna grilled over charcoal and then shredded for tuna salad. MMMMMMMMMMMM!!

    But I agree in a word. . . Gay
