    Default Fumoto valve

Anyone using a fumoto valve on their oil pan?

Any risk of its thread depth being higher than the bottom of the pan, and not getting the same amount of oil out as drain plug?

Was considering ordering one and saw some reviews claiming that. Never laid hands on one myself.

Several pieces of equipment I service at work either came with these or we have put them on. They do help when the drain plug is in an extremely inconvenient place. Personally I’d just keep a regular drain plug if it’s not in a strange spot.

Took forever to drain the oil in my duramax. I changed it back to the original drain plug

I put them on a few backup generators at work where its tough to get an oil pan under. Attach a hose and run it outside the frame.

Think it could cause sludge from not being able to drain fully, or is it really a non issue?
