Default Best Anti-Virus program for iPads?

Need to put an anti-virus and anti-malware prigram(s) on the iPad Mini. Running IOS 9 because it's the most current this system will handle.

What are you guys with iPhones and/or iPads running?

I didn’t think you needed virus protection on an Apple device.

You got computer clap from porn sites?
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

LOL... I guess that's possible, especially from the 'redirects' connected to the links Chuck and MM put up in the Swamp.

I didn't use to think that iPhones and iPads needed anti-virus programs either, but have since been told otherwise. I do keep running in to things like "There was a problem with this page so it's being reloaded", etc, and it happens on sites such as SCDucks and Cabelas, a lot. Whether that's due to my pop-up blocker or that my iPad is low on memory and processing power, I don't know. That's why I thought I'd ask about an AV program for the iPad.

I'm in the middle of installing Bitdefender on my laptop since a trial run showed 'threats' in files that Avast had scanned numerous times over the years. Whether they are false alerts or Bitdefender is that much better than Avast will soon be determined... hopefully.

    go to
Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All website Data

    then go to
Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data

You will have to log back in to scducks and all other sites that require logins

Ios does allow cookies and some of them may be tracking you and/or spamming stuff like the fake google sweepstakes and such

Thanks for the reminder on this mello-collins. I was using the 'full reboot/reset' procedure of holding down the Sleep and Power buttons for 5 seconds and that would pretty much clear any temp and history files, but it also happened to delete the Inboxes of several email accounts over several resets. I can't for the life of me figure that one out, and thus far have found no assistance on the Apple forums, et al.

If you have any suggestions on how to reset those email accounts, let me know. I've already tried re-inserting the passwords, changed the server assignments, etc, etc, using functioning email accounts as examples, but nothing works. I tried deleting one account and then starting over, but the iPad told me that account already existed. Go figure. I do NOT use the iCloud function for the most part, but supposed I should double-check that in case something out there is hold me up from re-entering and account.

    Thanks.

So let me get this straight. You have some email accounts that dissapeared from the ipad and it will not let you put them back in?

    Sending pm

LOL... actually, other than the screen refreshes, which I think are more related to only having 16 gigs of memory and needing to clean out the files, etc. I've not really seen any evidence of a virus, but know that Macs, iPads, and iPhones are no longer immune from the crap, or so says some of the gurus. Beats me, but that's why I asked.

As far as I've read on tech blogs like https://www.devicetricks.com/ , Macs are not immune to malware, but no true viruses exist in the wild that can run on macOS, and there never have been any since it was released over 17 years ago.
