I would never do one because it would kill me, but if I did it would be somewhere like Kiawha. Sea level with no chance of hills. Riding a bike up a hill is the worst.

    Easier than swimming uphill

The swim is the part I'm worried about. I can ride 56 miles and I can work up to 13 miles running but I have never swam any distance.

I tried the swimming while my wife was training. I couldn’t get the hang of timing my breathing with my stroke. But I gave up on it pretty quickly and resigned myself to sitting on a life jacket drinking beer.

Do a sprint or two. Swimming in a pool is very different from swimming with 100 other people kicking you.

I could throw on some tennis shoes and walk out right now and run 13 miles if I had to. I could also bike 56 miles if I had to. I think I’d drown trying to swim 1.2 miles

If you need somebody to ride beside you in a boat and yell encouragement while drinking beer, I’ll help you out.

If I remember correctly...you swim with the current in the Augusta race.

But the hills suck ass. Have you looked at topography race map?
