    Default Cabelas dehydrator?

Got some gift card money to spend. Anybody have one of these? Are they any good?

You looking to do sliced or that meat paste stuff?

I have a cheap jerky maker. It does ok. I rearrange the trays to make sure the heat is equal. However I don't use it as much I want to because the prep work takes a lot of time. So just food for thought that you might spend money on a slicer too if you plan to do sliced meat.

I think I've got the previous model, bought maybe 2 years ago. Mine has a few cheap looking parts, but it does what its supposed to do. I upgraded from the white and green round deal. It's definitely a major step up from fooling with 10 round trays. Mine cooks even and holds quite a bit more, maybe 50% more. I dry the loins out of 6-10 deer a year and the round thing took forever. I believe you'll be happy with it.

This is what I have and it works well enough for what I do. 12 trays allows me to dehydrate around 20-25 pounds at a time.

I got it and it works like it supposed to. Only had it for one season so far, but like it. Will hold about a pound per tray and has 12 trays. Makes a decent amount in one cook.

Shut your hole fluoride king. That dehydrator is on order. Gonna look good on the counter beside that big ass bronze stand mixer my wife has to have 5 years ago but has yet to use

Good to know I'm not the only one. I buy plenty of hunting and fishing stuff I don't need too. But it does make me scratch my head when I see her using the little handheld mixer.

Go get the grinder and stuffing attachment for that mixer and put it to work. It's nice for small batches(~5lbs).
