    Default Long time coming....

My year last year was filled with missed opportunities, mistakes on my part and finally a 1500 yard track on a deer that lasted 8 hours never to be recovered. This year unfortunately felt like it was going to be the same as I pulled up to an open gate on Tuesday morning, followed by cutting a chain at 5 am with a hacksaw due to some careless locking of locks on said gate. Work has been crazy and I finally got out on time Thursday evening. Finalky made it to the stand around 7 and it was a pretty uneventful night until 8:10. I had two Boone and Crocket coons feeding and I was just watching them with the binos as one got startled. I saw a glimpse of brown and figured a doe was coming in to feed. Man was I wrong. He stepped out behind the tree with his head down among some palm bushes. I could see part of a rack and just kept watching until he picked his head up one time. I immediately grabbed the gun and got on him. I tried to wait a few minutes for him to turn broadside, but that lasted about 30 seconds. Took a .308 to the base of the neck and dropped right there. Definitely was worth the countless hours I've spent building bridges on this tract of land to be able

Post the pics via the site. Photobucket has been bought out by the mafia.

Seriously we can't see them. You can't do linking through photobucket anymore without a $200 license. There are others out there that are still free. Or you can upload it from the picture button above.

    Nice.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Total man hours probably 300. I spent more time in waders during work days than duck season
