Absolutely not. I would literally vote for my dog to hold office before I pulled the lever for that cunt. That being said...it doesn't mean I have to like Trump, or think he is making any sort of real progress, or changing the country for the better. The guy is a loud mouth petulant child who is a master carnival barker. He is as corrupt as Hillary, and knows how to distract people from one disaster by creating constant deflection and distraction. Do you guys really believe he is stopping companies from leaving the U.S.? Do you really think he has anything to do with the price of gas? Coal coming back as a primary energy source?

I have some respect for those that can see Trump clearly. I used to poo-poo the narcissist, misogynist label....but I must admit I am beginning to wonder.

His tweets are horrific. His demeanor is atrocious and unbecoming of the office of president.

and before you trump-humpers start in on the "he is messing with the liberal media", ask yourself if that is even remotely important to our country's welfare. He needs to shut the fuck up and get to work.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

He is messing with his own voter base everytime he screws something up. He uses the media to create the smoke and mirrors, and his base falls for it every time. Look at last week with the healthcare vote. So people really think that transgender military announcement just happened to be a coincidence?

Here we are with the stock market reaching record highs. Gas prices at the lowest in many years. Illegal immigration at record lows. I turn on the TV this morning and NBC news is still talking about Russia. Oh and some silly rumor about Trump calling the White House a dump.

The slimy Republican establishment is against him. The dishonest media trashes him on a constant basis. But the man keeps hammering away with his agenda. Unlike the weasels in Congress that forget all their campaign promises the moment they are sworn in.

It's not an easy job but he keeps at it every day. And without taking a paycheck.

I didn't realize trump set fuel prices and controlled the stock market. I keep hearing illegal immigration is at an all time low. How do they know that exactly? It's people sneaking across the border. It's not exactly like they go through a turn still before crossing the rio grande.

He is doing the work part. Ask yourself 2th, where would we be, right now, if Hillary had been elected.

The government doesn't control gas or the stock market. What the government does is create obstacles in the free market with regulations. What Trump has done to affect the markets is repealing the regulations Obama put in place. He also approved the keystone pipeline. He has freed up the obstacles that created the slowest recovery from the last recession. I'm surprised you don't understand this.

The government knows roughly how many illegal immigrants are coming to this country. This is what I discovered with a pretty simple internet search.

The methodology is complicated, but it’s based primarily on two data sources. Every March, the federal government surveys between 75,000 and 80,000 households, looking for foreign-born people. That number, scaled up and adjusted for survey biases, establishes the total number of both authorized and unauthorized immigrants living in the country. The researchers at Pew then use decades of data from the Department of Homeland Security, which tracks the total number of immigrants admitted legally to the United States, to estimate the authorized population. Once they have those two numbers, it’s a matter of subtracting the documented immigrants from the total foreign-born population, leaving the undocumented immigrants.

If you don't like Trump, fine don't vote for him. Vote for a Democrat.

Also, the prior administration was catching illegals crossing the border and giving them notice to appear at a hearing in the future. Guess what - none of them were showing up. Now, the number that we are catching at the border has been drastically reduced.

Do I "like" Trump? Not particularly. Couldn't imagine ever having to deal with him on a personal level. Do I think he wants to fix what is wrong with America? Absolutely. Is he trying to get things accomplished? I think so, but he is constantly having to fight the democrats, the media and his own party. Is he directly responsible for the economy? Nope, but he is responsible for creating an atmosphere where employers are willing to hire employees, make capital expenditures, and take chances that they weren't willing to take under the prior administration.

Can any of you imagine going to a job everyday where you were one of the few working against the system? I would have probably already told them all to go to hell, packed up my shit and headed home.

But, what do I know. I'm just a dumb ass who voted for the current president. I think that makes me a racist and sexist as well.

Maybe I've missed it but when did racism become a factor in this whole thing?

The stock market graph has been at a 45 degree angle since February of 2009. I did some complex differential equations on this and came to the conclusion that 2009 was actually before Trump got elected.

That being said, a bull market of almost 8 years now is starting to become a long one. This cycle typically ends in a recession or pull back of some sort. Each year the the bull market runs this hot, the chances of a recession grow higher and higher. What will be said if this recession happens during the Trump administration?

From a stock market standpoint, they weren't all bad.

However, what jasonw is forgetting is that big ole hole that was dug circa 2008.

Also, if I scale my graph correctly, I can make that line look nearly vertical. But, I'm just sayin'...

Which hole are you referring to?

I'm not forgetting anything. You are just missing my point. People are giving credit to Trump for the stock market, but we've been in a bull market for 8 years now. And the stock market WILL fall\pullback, no matter who that president is. So, my question was, "Will Trump get credit for that too?"

And ziggy actually gave a pretty clever answer... That the Messianic Trumpers on here will have an excuse for that too...

Every white, heterosexual, gun-owning, God-fearing male is a racist.

I think that anyone who attempts to defend Trump's methods of communication via Twitter as some middle finger to the left, or his 'direct line of communication' to the public is just as delusional as those crying hitlary supporters on election night. That man is an egotistical idiot (who's public speaking skills are worse than most middle school kids). I am not afraid to admit that I voted for him and he has accomplished the one thing I was banking on which is to put conservative justices on the SC. Hopefully he will put one, if not two more and fundamentally hold off the liberal progression of the country for a couple more decades. So from that aspect I am satisfied. Other than that, he is an idiot.

I'm looking at the graph for the Dow and it looks pretty flat for most of 2016. But since November it had a sharp climb. All of Trumps critics said the stock market would tank if he was ever elected.

I will grant you that over an 8 year period it has climbed. But as was mentioned, the market had tanked prior to that due to the recession. So it made a slow climb in spite of Obama's anti capitalist policies.
