I'm looking for some lights to put on the back of the pontoon to light up the rods. Do they make a LED flood type light. I'm want something that is not super bright and doesn't drain the battery if I leave it on all night long. All I found is the small courtesy type lights.
He would have been nice next year.

A small flourescent tube style light, about a foot or 2 might do the trick for you. They are water resistant (not proof) but give you a nice low consumption dull white light. You'll prolly have to run it off of a 12v inverter as I have never seen a 12v one....but have seen battery operated. Good luck.

thye make twelve volts one's in the same way, i use them and take sealant to caulk them off to prevent water from getting in, and they last a good while but i do run them on a seperate battery, run it on the battery i run my bait tank on, so all pull low amps so it does not run the battery down

I use the clip on lights with the metal shade. They are like $5 at the hardware store. Get the 12V bulbs and you are in business. Same setup lots of people use for shrimping. I use an extension cord so I can move it around without moving the battery. Good light, but not too much and is easy on your battery as well, even though I do use a seperate batt. for it...
