    went to change the oil in lower unit of my honda 25 hp and it was full of water. milky white.
    anything i can check and/or replace before i take it to the shop?

    Sounds like seals on the output shaft, not much you can do, good time to do the water pump while it's down.

    I'm with Wing Nut on that. Take it to the shop to see what has happened. You don't want to be out and have something give out.
    It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

    yep, just goes to show that even with regular maintenance, things can and will go wrong. I had the lower unit serviced almost exactly 1 year ago.
    Off to the shop it is.

    Fishing line can reek havick on lower unit seals.
    Could also be the upper seal needed to be replaced and were not.

    Hope it doesn't cost too much $$ for you.
