    Default Update on my Son

A few months ago I posted asking for prayers for my son as he was about to have a surgery to help in the process of correcting his club feet. After about eight weeks of casts, his surgery, another few weeks in casts and now three months wearing boots and a bar 23/7, he is now in the boots and bar just when he sleeps at night. It has been a long journey for my wife and I and it isn't quite over yet (he will have to wear the boots/bar at night until he is three years old) but we have a lot to celebrate and many reasons to be thankful! The GHS pediatric orthopedics team has been incredible to work with over the last six months and Baby Duckman's lower half even gained some fame in the process (the picture below is of him getting one of his sets of casts, its up in the main lobby of GHS) If anyone in the future has a child born with club feet, I will be happy to share our experiences with you and what to expect. Thank you to everyone for your prayers, figured I would show some before and after pictures!

Really glad to hear things are going well. You have a beautiful family. Continued prayers up for all y'all.

Man that is great news! God is great! I am struggling holding back my tears of joy for your family. Becoming a daddy this past year myself has put a soft spot on my heart for children. I didn't expect that part. My boy and I will keep the Duckman family in our prayers.

    Great news.

I had to wear boots and a bar when I was a toddler too and I turned out normal (ha ha)...no feet/leg problems - I leave nice, straight tracks on the beach - I played sports in high school and still run 5-10 miles/week (mostly during the summer).

Actually, it's kind'a hard to believe they had were that advanced back in the 1960's.
