I bought some stretchy underwear from amazon a few days back. I don't know of anyone that sells them in our little town. It was quick, plus I saved any awkward confrontations. I get creeped out when cashiers smell my items and look at me.

I went ahead a cancelled my membership. The lady I spoke with said they charge EBT members less because they have a hard time paying for the service, where as people without EBT have more money to pay the $100 rate. No shit. Needless to say...I'll be shopping elsewhere.

Anyone know how you apply for one of these discounted pans? Asking for a friend.

Question for the group, if you were trapped in a room with MC and Toof, and you had a gun with only one bullet, would you shoot yourself in the head or the chest?

You would hate the gas mileage compared to your prius.

You mouth breathers would be better suited to sit in a padded room with nothing more than a rubber ball you couldn't swallow and a mirror.

Interestingly enough, who would be in a better position than Amazon to catch people "abusing the system"? I mean, after all, they have access to your name, address, credit card info, and they have a detailed record of what you have been purchasing over time. If you signed up using this discount, then you would readily volunteer that you are on gov't assistance... So, for anyone on this program, they should be able to find the people that aren't buying the things that all of the other gov't assisted people are buying... Just a thought...

    meanie

I dont think ANYONE using amazon prime is "saving money."

I dont have any issues with capitalism in this instance. However, it does rub me wrong that we have so many people on government assistance that really just need to get a job.

The analogy of woodie and mergie really hurt. Words. Just words. I keep telling myself. Stay strong.

LOL oh I'm so sorry... The Creator of everything including man and his broken govt obviously does not having anything to do with politics and capitalism. Ya know, because fleeting man "said so." How foolish of me. The only reason we even have to have this conversation in the first place is because man is doing everything in their power to separate God and Man. If we still trusted and loved God like half of the people on this site claim to then 99% of the garbage ranted about on this site would a non-issue.

It bothers me a whole lot less when a private business choses a price structure based on ability to pay than it does when the government does it.

Amazon is taking advantage of the resources they have at hand in order to make more money. I do not see how any of you can find issue with this based on ALL of the previous statements some of you commenting have made with regard to capitalism. It is a private business making a business decision for their business which has the potential to make them a whole lot more money by utilizing resources at their disposal. Don't like it, don't use Amazon, plain and simple. If you have an issue with that I'm sure Bernie would love your support because some of y'all don't sound too far off from being in that camp...

On another note, the amount of assumptions made by some of you (based on your one observation at Wal-Mart) about the people you see is unfortunate.

And Wal-Mart or any other gas station, convenience store, grocery store isn't using the same program to make money?
