Birds were letting it roll yesterday morning here in Newberry. Saw birds in fields where they are "typically" at during April, heard a few while helping out a friend. Go figure, this 45 degree weather might have set them off again.

They will be done breeding before the season at this rate
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

Yep, I spent the past weekend out at the club in the LC. Went for an early morning walk with the dogs yesterday, the most gobbling I heard all season!

My partner and I are on the late season quota draw hunt. We're grabbing a quick breakfast right now but doubled early off the roost this morning.

If they are still as fired up when we get back out there as they were this morning at day light we both should be done by noon.

I saw 4 in a chufa field this morning on my way to work. I grabbed the fan off my jake decoy and crawled right up to them and attached GPS chips so I will be able to easily find them next March. While I was working on the chips, a 5th bird attacked me from behind, and I had to kill him, South Park style.
