    Default Broad river access

Does this trail have an area to launch kayaks? Me and my wife are looking to go somewhere different for the day and paddle around. Want to stay close to this area. Saw what supposed to be another launch by the bridge right up from here. Want somewhere that stands the least chance of me coming back to a busted window. Screenshot_20170330-175402.jpg

Access can be found under that bridge or on 213.

The spot on your map has a longer walk to the river, maybe a couple hundred yards, but lot is more open and car may be safer. They are both kinda secluded though either way.

I park under 213 and never had a problem but there are occasionally some weird people there. It's a pretty steep hill to drag your kayak back up though. By the trail it's more gradual but much longer walk. The 213 ramp is on the slack side that's shallow and basically no current.
If you go up river from it you'll be dragging a lot. If you go down river you'll have to drag maybe once. Palmetto Trail is the fast side and would probably suck to paddle up from there but going down and back isn't bad at all since the river is much wider after the bridge.

Check USGS gage at Alston before you go. It is at the palmetto trail put in. If 2000 cfs or greater I recommend using 213 access.

I'll have to cross the bridge for 213 access. So is there a road or sign on the left where it is or am I just looking for a hole to drive in?
