Default Anyone priced 250-300 hp outboards lately?

    Anyone priced 250-300 hp recently?

Looking at a boat with a blown motor. Nobody really open today or tomorrow to get pricing. Seeing if anyone here has bought one and care to share cost.

    Thanks!

    Eyebolts, metallurgy, & K's...

    That's all I got.

Or, you could take about 25-40% off the HP and convert it using the "$100/horse" rule and get a general idea.

Your question is too, broad, though.

A year/make/model would generate more concrete responses.

Depending on age of the boat and what controls are on it, you may need to factor new controls in as well.

    Expect $18k+ for a new 250hp.

You can find a new 300 Suzuki for around 20k with controls, install etc. Do it quick tho if you want 6yr warranty

    Thanks.

Yeah, looking around just found that the 4.2l Yamaha is almost 50lbs lighter than the 3.3l Yamaha and Suzuki 250/300. Hull is a 21 contender so weight is a concern. Tired of looking for 23's priced right.

Not really. Truthfully I don't hear anything about them except what I read on hull truth.

Looking at Yamaha, Suzuki or optimax. Heard they don't offer the opti 300xs any more sadly.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Appreciate it. More research I do on the 21 leads me to believe I'm going to pass on it. Can't get it for a price I feel comfortable with the extra work it needs.

The bilge is a disaster in the 21 I just found out.

Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.
