    I share his sentiments on that one. Never understood putting holes in something you want to keep water out of. Some are necessary but some people just go overboard (no pun intended)

    Thanks for the help guys. Took some info from here and modified it. We have a tractor with forks so we ran an eye bolt through the transom holes for the motor and we took the front bolt out and lagged a 4x4 post trough the holes. Used the tractor to pick the back end up and four of us handled the 4x4. It gave us something to grip and protected the gunwale.
