Default SC House on Constitutional Carry

    Per Palmetto Guns Rights

From Denise Snelling and Palmetto Gun Rights

    Dear Citizen,

For years, House Judiciary Chairman Gregory Delleney has killed Constitutional Carry legislation in his committee.

Instead of letting HB 3700, the Constitutional Carry bill, sit and die without so much as a hearing or a vote, pro-gun champion State Rep. Jonathon Hill made a motion this past week to recall his Constitutional Carry bill from this kill committee.

Thanks to Rep. Hill’s efforts, we now know who truly stands with gun owners in South Carolina and who stands with the political establishment in killing this vital pro-gun legislation year after year.

    It wasn’t pretty. . .

The vast majority of the House, even self-proclaimed pro-gun Republicans, voted to kill Constitutional Carry.

This is a slap in the face to gun owners and activists across South Carolina.

Constitutional Carry would have allowed South Carolinians to exercise their Second Amendment rights without having to beg a government bureaucrat for permission first.

    This simply will not stand.

Here is how your Representatives voted:

As you can see, the lawmakers in Columbia are NOT listening to what you have to say.

That means we must be louder than ever before!

Contact your Representative today and let them know that law-abiding South Carolinians should’t have to beg the government for permission to protect themselves and their families!

Thank you for all you do.

    For Freedom,

    Denise Snelling
    Chairman
    Palmetto Gun Rights

P.S. Pro-gun Representative Jonathon Hill forced a roll call vote on Constitutional Carry this past week, and finally put the whole House on record with a vote on Constitutional Carry!

The legislators in Columbia have not been listening and voted AGAINST this vital pro-gun legislation.

I'd like to hear the reason(s) why supposedly pro-gun/2A legislators, such as Phillip Lowe and Brian White, chose to vote against this bill.

The vote was not against the bill per se but could have forced a floor debate because Delleney continues to table a carry Bill.

    It's for our safety.

Why is anyone surprised by this? These same people caved to the media and leftist ideology by stripping a soldiers' monument of its flag when that flag was seen on the background of a deranged killers Facebook picture. Follow that spineless logic if u can.

They sold us out on the Confederate flag so why would you expect any other outcome? Do you honestly think they would vote in the favor of the majority of their constituents? They are all a bunch of crooks.

South Carolina is no longer a conservative state, hell we can't even pass open carry.

Can someone post the bill. I'm on my phone and navigating the states website sucks.

BTW...I believe the house is the least of our worries on this. The Senate probably wouldn't even debate and/or vote on this.

They aren't going to give up a revenue stream.

$50 is $50.....Plus it can always be raised if need be.

Stop. It's a House bill. The current judiciary chairman will always table a constitutional carry bill. The House hide behind this. This was a vote to reintroduced the bill on the floor and by-pass the committee. They will now hide behind House rules. What does that have to do with the Senate?

I've said for decades that this is really a "Socialist" State in many ways, and the Senate, in particular, still lives in the shadows of the 1800's.

The thing is that 'Constitutional/Open Carry' often does not preclude the requirement for a Concealed weapon permit, so the revenue stream probably wouldn't change that much.
