As I said it probably was more expensive than it should have been. How much should one expect to pay for a similar structure including land prep ?

BJ, you may not want to know. You've got a real nice building there from what I remember and you're probably better off not thinking about the woulda, coulda scenarios... lol.

Nope. Go price 2x6x10s, 6x6 post, metal package, doors, shit adds up. Mine is 14 tall and 40x60. 31 yards of mud at 120 yard, finishing the mud is roughly 60 a yard. Garage doors are 1k per, insulation is 300 dollars for 72 in by 150ft

Y'all need to call Trinity if you are spending that kinda jack on pole buildings. They build a very nice building and no wood - steel structure.

They are even more. Checked that route by some locals here that do them for a living. Got to have more people and help. Cost of boom truck and so on.

Yep, mine is 13 1/2 to the bottom of the trusses. I've got around 8k in the grading and concrete. Stuff adds up quick. I had trusses engineered to allow me some storage up top. I ran all the electrical in mc cable and put decent lights in too. BJ

Those are led linkable lights. 8 per truss and 24 total. That's only one row burning.

Does the insulation make much of a difference in a metal building with with no HVAC?

Looks good Micah. I can't wait to park the contender in that new building.

Insulation makes a huge difference. I've been in my shop plenty of mornings when it was below freezing outside and relatively comfortable inside. Paint and chemicals will last a lot longer. It also doesn't take long for a propane heater to knock the chill off. I have also seen condensation in uninsulated buildings. Just for storage of implements, etc. I wouldn't worry about it. If it is a shop you should spend the money.

Did you use the thick insulation barrier or the bubble type? BJ
