Fishing is an a.m. activity, golf is a afternoon sport. Its called cast and shank. Its an all day affair really.

I believe March 4th will work for me. I can meet at any club. Hermitage is fine but Rocky Creek generally has better targets since they have a course with lots of open space.

If they'll send me enough shims to give me a proper LOP, they can have it. I'm maxed out on shims and still have to use a recoil pad.

Nothing off the shelf is gonna fit you. An ape like you needs LOP around 15 1/2.

(this is how you properly derail a thread)

I have looked for aftermarket vendors who make a permanent stock extension. I've also considered carving my own. Having to depend on a wiggly recoil pad kind of sucks donkey balls.

Check the Graco systems. The only drawback is it adds weight to the back end. ISIS pads add a lot a length and are light but cost about $600 installed.

I have the same problem . I took a jig saw to a cutting board ( starboard ) to make an extended stock . Im sure plexiglass or something else would work .

Didn't you frig up an 870 you disassembled a while back? Take that gun to a smith.

It did whip my ass, and it did take a smith with a polishing tool to be able to get it back together.

Like you said in a previous post, Remington quality is a far cry from what it used to be.
