    Default What is it?

What is it that makes people so curious as to where you hunt ducks? If people find out I deer hunt I never get asked where. As soon as they find out I hunt ducks the very next question is where do you go.

I understand the curiosity of the guy who duck hunts. He is looking for a little more intell. I don't understand the fascination of the fair weather hunter. I guess it's just to be in the know. Then there are the folks who don't even hunt who are always curious. These people always trip me out with there random duck stories.

Not sure. Seems as if it may go along with the "fad" of duck hunting though. Deer hunting is not as cool.

Everybody in SC deer hunts or has family who does, nothing special about a deer. They have been exposed to them their whole life.

A lot of people's(general public) only knowledge of duck hunting came only from what they saw on Duck Dynasty. They see a big swamp or something like that on tv and just automatically assume we don't have habitat like that around here because they don't see it when they are out joyriding on the lake in their pontoon, looking at nice houses and watching firework shows. Lots of people know nothing about what a walk-in beaver swamp is either

I get the fad part. My favorite thing to do is to ask young men wearing Drake jackets if they have been killing any birds. I'd guess 80% look at me like I'm crazy.

I hate it when people ask me where I do anything.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
