    and i am sure others will soak mallard breasts in italian dressing and wrap them in bacon. But it doesn't make it right.

    I've never done it, but I've seen people put ice cubes in red wine. Is this just as egregious? I needta know.

    yes, i would put that in the same ball park. but i am just happy you are drinking a good porter so i wont bitch too much.

    to get super beer geeky here: Frosty mugs are good for light lagers and similar beers because they give off some funky flavors when they are warm. Porters and similar styles actually taste better over 50 degrees. But at that temperature it doesn't hold the carbonation and can sometime feel thin. Thats why You see these porters on "nitro" so they can be served at a higher temp and still have the feel of a cold beer but have the taste they should.

    I've also started making duck marsala and like it.
