    Default Wing survey

Who's doing it this year. Been doing it 7-8 years or so. Always got a dozen or two envelopes but got a big box of 100 this year. Pressures on.

I got 60 in two seperate FedEx packages. They are supposed to drop a participant after three years but it seems like I've been in it for a while too.

Have you received feedback in years past from them?

They know a stone cold killer when they see one. I don't think they cared for my poule deaux wings tho.

Yes, they'll send you a summary of all your birds.

Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

Second year for me. They waited until my oldest started hunting before they asked me. I really don't kill much myself anymore. I would rather take my daughter and let her do the majority of the shooting. I called last year to explained the situation, and they emphasized that they only wanted the birds that I shot. Told them that was fine, but they probably wouldn't get many from me.

I got the letter in the mail about participating and put it in the desk and forgot all about sending it in

I agreed to do the dove wing survey, but have not heard anything back or received any envelopes yet. I had planned to inquire about them this week.

There's an inner envelope and an outer envelope for each wing.

If you ever get a chance to go to the wingbee where they process the wings for each flyway go for check it out for a day. Pretty cool set up. In no time you will be able to tell species, sex, and age by only seeing the wing of a duck.

A component of my grad school project was checking to see how accurate those guys were. Let's just say they don't miss many.
