So I guess I'm not the only one who was hunting today, spent the morning chasing some wood ducks while someone else was busting out my window and helping themselves. Took a Glock 19, a pair of Costa's, and some random crap. I'm pissed at my self as I never lock my truck and put my pistol in the boat, but this morning it was pouring so figured I would leave it and just lock up. This is the second dumb move I've made in as many weeks. Last week I was out of checks and went to my bank to get a cashiers check and they said it would be $10 I laughed and left being the cheap SOB that I am. So instead I mailed Britton cash for the turkey hunt auction only to have it get lost in the mail. So come on guys give it to me I deserve it for letting my guard down.

And to make matters worse just called my insurance company and it will be two claims one for auto and one on my home owners for contents so two deductibles. Not worth it I will deal with it myself. I hope that son of a bitch is there tomorrow.

My intention is not to take the law in my hands. It is to catch them in the act on camera and hope it leads to them being locked up, I hope that a situation where I have to do anymore doesn't happen.

That's odd. I had a motorcycle stolen. I had a $650 helmet locked to it. Progressive paid me for the helmet. Also, for all the stuff I added to the bike after I submitted receipts. I know those parts are "part of the bike", but the helmet wasn't.

Just seems odd that homeowners would have to cover something that's not located on your property at the time of the theft.

I'll have to check my USAA policy.

as far as damage to the truck, if it is only a broken window the deductible will be waived. Any other damage to window trim, seats, etc. and the deductible will be applied.

personal property including the gun is covered under the homeowner policy. some limitations may apply.
