Who all is going to be up a tree tomorrow?

I'm getting off work early tonight so I can hunt in the morning. I'll be hunting a little hilltop up from a creek bottom, deer are coming through pretty regularly and I'm hoping to stick my first one with the bow

If you haven't shot one with a bow then shoot the first legal deer that gives you a good shot.

that's the plan!

I've only been bow hunting about three years, and have never carried a bow after Oct 1st. I missed a doe with it last year. I've really gotten the urge to kill one with it this year though, If I don't kill one with it during archery season I may carry it on into gun season some.

Can't go until Friday. I found the best way to get experience shooting deer with your bow is to continue hunting with it throughout the season. There was a stretch there that I was killing several deer per year with a bow and not hunting that much, but it requires you to hunt when the hunting is actually good (not Sept).

I'll be in a tree - haven't killed a deer with a bow in 5 years. Shot a 6pt two years ago and never found it, so instead of injuring another one, I've spent the last two years getting very proficient and confident with stick in string.

I am very excited

Hardwood pinch point in the AM, Soybean field in evening.

I am thinking this storm front and lower temps may make for more active deer, what ya think?

I'm hoping that's the case.

I put my cameras and 3 lock-ons out 3 weeks ago; haven't been back. No one has been in there. I know there are two mature shooter bucks lurking based on the landowner's sightings.

I'm hunting land that gets farmed year round, but hasn't been hunted in over 5 years.

I'm taking a stab in the dark in the AM having never hunted this place, but I think I have a nice set

Ill be in a tree in the am and pm... Not sure if i want to kill an 8pt thats easy to pattern and doesnt mind daylight, or killing a doe. Or both. Hell the cown horn that hangs out with the 8pt would mKe me smile. Bring it on to the greatest time of year!!!!

I was all set to hunt a path crossroads in a woodlot next door that never gets any human traffic, from my new 360 degree rotating seat ladder stand, but two things have come up that will delay my first hunt of the season.

I am reading the regs correct that in Game Zone 2, Archery can take either sex w/o tags on private land?

This is correct all the way to October 11th when rifle season comes in. After that you have to burn a tag. I'm on a doemission till the 11th. 850 acres and 6 does killed in 5 years. Time to weed out those old ass crazy bitches that blow at a crooked piece of Johnson grass.
