Yeah, I think I know your dad slightly. I don't shop there much anymore but if he's the guy I'm thinking of, I've talked to him quite a few times over the years about hunting and fishing. He's a real nice fella, has always been helpful without being pushy, etc.

Woodruff rd Wal mart has a 30-06 for 199...have fun with that though....easley store had a 243 but they wouldnt match the 199

Just left Academy. They won't price match it because it's a clearance item. They also said Walmart had to have it in stock to price match which is pointless because then you could just get it there.

I grabbed a .308 at Red Bank. They had a .243 and 30-06 when I left around 6:30.

They pulled last 3 out when I was there. I told them them they wouldn't make it through the night. 2 calls and another guy was looking at one when I left. I guess he decided not to buy it.

For the stores that wont honor the sale price download the walmart app and then scan your receipt. The app will automatically check all other walmarts to see if there is a lower price at a different store and then refund you the difference. It works for anything you buy.

Checked 2 Walmart's locally with no luck. Had to run to Cabela's to buy a new shotun, so took the picture posted earlier and gave it a shot.

They price matched! Picked up a 243 for when my son gets older. Thanks again for posting.
