    Default Laying Pergo floor?

Can I lay it over indoor/outdoor carpet that feels like it's an 1/8 inch thick over a concrete slab?
If you give 10 people a bag of gold, someone will complain about how heavy it is!

I would see what pergo says about it (or whatever manufacture you are using) but I think it would be okay. Should serve the same as sound dampening foam/rubber that you can put under that type of floor.

This is my thinking. It's going in a pool house, so it won't see a lot of traffic. The carpet is glued down and I don't want to rip it out unless it's absolutely necessary.

I wouldn't put it anywhere it could get wet, damn sure wouldn't put it over the carpet. You need a moisture barrier of some sort.... pergo would not be my choice for a pool house. Look into the waterproof vinyl click flooring.

LVT. Luxury vinyl tile. That would be great for a pool house but you sure as hell don't want to lay that over carpet. It un-clicks way to easy.

Laminated cardboard with a fancy paintjob on top doesn't mix too well with water. Seek an alternative.
