Default Has Anyone Hacked A Firestick?

The latest rage seems to be the jailbreaking of an Amazon Firestick.

I've watched YouTubes of how to do it and what it does. Looks easy enough.

I've already put the Kodi application on my PC and I'm just waiting on my mail lady to drop my stick off today.

I reckon I'll report back later in regards to ease of setup and media content.

I know everything the hacked Firestick does can be done via torrent sites and somewhat extensive searches, and a more involved level of computer skills. I've done some stuff and streamed from my laptop via HDMI out to my TV; however, it seems the Firestick will allow for a better interface to make everything more "user friendly". Plus, by the looks of it, and with Colt's navigational skills of Roku, it looks like he'd be able to use it as well.

Just wanted to see if anyone here is using one and how they like it.

This. And if I had done either, I would certainly not post about them on an internet forum. Hell they even convicted OJ on this and he got away with MURDER. GLWP

I've got one... Well I own one. Someone else has it now.

Regardless, they arent as easy to use as the people selling them make you believe. Before you buy one on Craigslist for $90, you can buy them for $25 and root it yourself.

If you are technically savvy and familiar with applications used for hacking you will be fine. They are not real user friendly at all. People get frustrated and sell them a lot. "free" comes with a price.

Well, I just opened The Jungle Book and my Firestick isn't even here yet.

Needless to say, Kodi runs just fine on the ole Lenovo Yoga 3.

If you are downloading or watching a movie that you don't have the rights to download/view, its illegal.

It's not illegal it's just a public video forum type deal that anyone can add anything to it. It's worth the $35 and the 5 minutes to download kodi

Which those people adding to it are doing so illegally as they don't have the copy rights. Just like Napster and all the other file sharing music software that was shut down.

    Being cheap seems so tedious.
