Default Aluminum Boat Trailer....Spring Axle or Torsion Axle

Just bought a used aluminum boat trailer and the springs, hangers and axle we NOT taken care of after going into salt water.

Thinking about just dropping every thing off the bottom and ordering a 3500# torsion axle and bolting it under the frame.

Any of you gurus on here ever messed with doing this?

I did it not to long ago. Pretty easy. The biggest thing is finding a good trailer parts dealer that can make sure you get all your parts matched up correctly.

If you plan on putting it back in the salt, go torsion all the way.

I wont own another boat trailer without a torsion axle.
