This was a feel good board decision not backed by biological study or DNR.
It is not politics. These are board members who "FEEL" 12 is enough.

The recommendation coming out of the Wildlife Advisory committee was for 15.
DNR states they sent out an E-Blast to people who have an HIP permit and posted the question on their website. Was told they asked for input on reducing to 12 and the response was 50/50.
