If y'all want to get a headache argue with some Duke and UNC educated liberals on gun control and the def. of an assault weapon. I was told that it was ok if I had some weapons for hunting, but there was no reason I should have some of the rifles I have. It just really pisses me off when they say the only reason somebody would want an AR is to kill people. Also, shooting is not a sport, and civilians should not have access to NV and thermal optics. I'm sad to say some are kin to me.

That's true....idk why I even get sucked in to an argument....they are so much smarter than me they think I should just be glad I can listen to them talk. I reckon I'm too southern and went to a college that was too small haha

Sounds like most colleges these days, I've heard things said in politics classes that made me question peoples sanity. I had a professor tell me nobody should carry a gun and if it came down to it someone could tackle an active shooter and disarm/kill them with a knife. When she found out I was the only person in class who carried a knife and I had a cwp, I asked her why she wanted me to bring a knife to a gun fight when I would have preferred to carry a gun.

The things her and my fellow students said about "assault weapons" took a special kind of stupid.

Easy way to win that argument. Murder is illegal. There is a law against it. Drugs are illegal. There are laws against it. Prohibition made alcohol illegal there were laws against it. Why do they think a law against guns are going to rid America of guns.
