    Kind = OWB clip on.

    But if you're asking where/who made it = jacksonleatherwork.com

He makes them one at a time any way you want them. Most of the holsters pictured on his website for this type gun are made without the retention strap, I had him add the strap to my holster as you can see.
Ordered on 04/01/16 and delivered on 07/11/16.

Looks well made. Thanks for the info.

He doesn't show any pricing on his site. Mind if I ask how much that one cost you? I realize they're custom, which is good, and I've got one or two in mind that I'd need to submit pictures on.

I used to have a local friend who made custom holsters, but he got out of the business, unfortunately.

    Thanks.

    Good looking holster.

What made you go with outside the waistband?

    $108.00 shipped.

OWB was a personal preference. I'm already packing a load IWB and didn't want to overload my pants capacity.

Thanks, scatter shot. I'll send in for a quote on a design I've been thinking about.

lol, I understand. Just didn't know if there was an advantage to OWB that I was overlooking.

I have an IWB kydex for my PC Shield from eBay for about 20, shipped. Comfortable when riding in a vehicle, doesn't print, and great, adjustable retention.

I use a nice Versicarry when toting my G19.

With synthetics and polymers, it's hard to justify the price of leather anymore, especially with their drawbacks.

Yeah, I'm still digging the clip on for a compact pistol it works fine.
Another reason I like the clip on is the fact it's a smaller overall package whether your wearing it or storing it in a console compared to a paddle holster.

Sterling, please tell me about the drawbacks of a leather holster.

With tricycles and bicycles, it's hard to justify driving a car or riding the bus, especially with corona virus....

I can understand the storage benefit, but is that clip stable vs a paddle?

Personally, like yourself, I like leather holsters. I’ve only really had an issue with one over the years.

I have nothing against them and still own probably a dozen good ones. However, with what I carry, I prefer the kydex for my Shield and synthetic, breathable Versacarry for my G19.

It's just personal preference and opinion.

Also, when it's extremely hot outside, I just don't really enjoy the wet leather at the end of the day.
