    Default NODAK 2016

This year will be my second trip to North Dakota. Last time I flew. Going to make a road trip out of it this year with a couple other guys.
Asking all you seasoned hunters or anyone that has made the drive from GA/SC before.

What are the do's and don'ts of a 25 hour long road trip of this sort.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
When in doubt, shoot him again!

Work like it's all up to me, but pray, like it's all up to him!

Don't hit major cities at rush hour
Make a bunch of sandwiches and put em in a cooler with drinks so you're not stopping all the time
One of you take a sleeping pill before you even leave on the trip so that person can drive thru the night
    Don't drive. Fly.

St. Louis sucks no matter what time you hit it, or so it seems.

I agree with the sandwiches and drinks. Make sure you put the cooler in a place you can actually access it though.

I live 20 minutes from stl, if it's middle of the day you're fine unless it's a baseball game day. Middle of the night is usually pretty good time

It has a tang and spirit shared by no other sport—a philosophy compounded of sleet, the winnow of unseen wings, and the reeks of marsh mud and wet wool. No other sport has so many theories, legends, casehardened disciples and treasured memories.”

I have been there and done that. We switched out drivers every time we got gas. We drove non stop. The only time the truck pulled off of the intersate was to get gas. That's when you ate and used the restroom. No if ands or buts. I learned one thing though, you can put four of the best friends ever together in that vehical but by the time 25 hours if up you will be ready to kill each other. That is until you start smashing the ducks.

No shit ... Because I had done it before and learned. It wasn't an accident, I was asleep on purpose.

Drove it 16 times using various routes. The one I use most is: Asheville, to Knoxville, to Lexington, to Louisville, to Indianapolis, to Bloomington/Normal, to Rockford, to Madison, to Minneapolis, to Fargo, and then to where ever you're headed in NoDak. Avoid Chicago at all costs! Indianapolis and Minneapolis are the two largest cities and they both have good by-passes with easy traffic.
