Had rare couple of free hours this evening and took the boy fishing the last hour of the day. He found him a little crappie and started learning how to paddle a boat.

Where is your harness Michael? In all seriousness, I ain't getting rid of my cushions and cougar paws , but that first pic was my first time using it and on a 12 in the rain. Changing that pipe collar was a breeze.

I honestly don’t know that I’ve ever worn a harness changing out a skylight, the last time I remember wearing one was in high school/college with another builder I worked for. I think the old man wears them on a regular basis when he’s on commercial sites for his regular job.
I got to meet him here in a few minutes and we’re going to swap out some more skylights today

Buddy of mine just did a door pretty similiar to that for a doctor here in town, replaced the door unit and everything. The door came in damaged 4 times before he got hold of one that wasn’t

I tried to upgrade our front door well before the wuflu turned everyone into nonproductive assholes. I had a budget of $5,000 for the door and hanging it. I thought that would cover it. I know, I know, silly me. Found a nice door, couldn’t get anyone to hang it. The salesman was no help and I called a dozen guys for a quote, or at least to come look at it. Nothing.
Meanwhile, everything that has come to this house in the last three years via freight arrived damaged from handling. There is precious little quality to be had, if you can find it.
Edit to add - in the name of trying to be more positive today, I will say that our pipe guys do excellent work.
