Took the neighbor and his kids and nephew to throw jugs this weekend, they had a blast.
Picked up the biggest turtle on a jug I’ve ever caught as well

No, you’re one of about a dozen people who have asked me that.
I’ve had turtle stew a bunch and like it, never cooked one myself though. And every time I’ve had it it was made from a snapping turtle. That’s not a snapper

Some fresh keys mangrove, yellow tail, and mutton. The poke bowl was on point.

Soft shell is at least as good. Maybe better. Next time you make a stew look up turtle sauce picante recipe and try that. It’s creole/Cajun, and will change your outlook on turtle stew.

    Will do,

As I said, I like turtle stew, had it multiple times but the ones I’ve always had were similar to a hash in consistency. Are they all like that?

No sir, not all but most are.
My granny made a white one that was kind of like oyster stew and made one like a hash, and one chunky with potatoes, okra and other vegetables.
The sauce picante is a totally different flavor, the spices are different. It’s great over rice. I don’t know quantity of spices etc. I got what I make from a coon ass welder a few years ago. Google any traditional Cajun recipe and it should be close. Not good network. Lol. Mine cooks about 20 hrs.

    Sunshine and summertime

“… duckhunting stands alone as an outdoor discipline. It has a tang and spirit shared by no other sport—a philosophy compounded of sleet, the winnow of unseen wings, and the reeks of marsh mud and wet wool. No other sport has so many theories, legends, casehardened disciples and treasured memories.”
