The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.

Does it matter if it's craftsman or snap on?

Amberjacks would eat anything crashing through their area. Also have hooked into a few smaller wahoo on what looked like nothing more than a decoy weight.

My bro-in-law and I broke a fork in half and wrapped a hook to it with mono, and caught Spanish on it.

I guess I need to take the tool bag instead of the tackle box next time.

That's stupid. I'm sorry, but it is. Boneheads, kingfish, grouper, pretty much everything, will bite anything. They'll bite a dadgum washcloth. Of course they'll bite a slim, shiny object jigged vertically. And they'll hammer it if you troll it.

I remember this one particularly obnoxious metal "lure" that one guy called the "no effing way" lure. It was a big metal piece of junk with some red plastic attached to the end and a big single hook. It didn't even shimmy when it was trolled. But if you put it over the side, before you knew it, a wahoo came in the boat.
