Interestingly enough, the poster who started this thread is a spot-dropping, internet badass kayaker that likely backs his SUV down the ramp to unload his $1200 kayak.

The rules for Corp lakes, from their web site. Being in the upstate most of my fishing is on Corp lakes.

    Where Can You Fish?
Fishing from the bank (shoreline) or from a boat is permitted in most areas of the lake except at boat ramps, courtesy docks, off bridge, off private boat docks (unless you have owner's permission), water intake structures, and any other area marked as restricted or prohibited access.
Developed bank fishing areas are areas where brush piles have been installed along the shoreline to attract fish. They also have cleared areas along the shoreline for access and parking areas. Most are identified with a fishing area sign.
Other bank fishing opportunities exist at Hartwell Lakes' numerous Day Use and Access Areas. Some of these areas have fishing piers provided for your convenience.

IF I had a $1200 kayak, i would not drag it across the pavement.

why dont you slide your $80,000 boat up on the rocks/oyster shells and wait your turn?

seems I am right and everyone else is wrong.

When Im fishing in my jonboat, speedboats piss me off with their wake.

When I am in my pontoon, speedboats also piss me off (might spill my drink)

When I am riding along in either, fishermen who block entry into creeks, rivers or fingers of lakes piss me off.

when I round a river curve in the jonboat, kayakers piss me off

BUT, when I am kayaking, jonboats that fly around curves piss me off too.

Anyone at a boatramp pisses me off.

The best idea that I have come up with is the following.

I will post the dates and bodies of water that I plan to boat.

Please be respectful and stay the hell off that body of water.

    Thank you in advance.

Kind of like duck hunting when anyone else is automatically a rubberhead huh? Haha.

Because at 99% of the landings I've seen, you can carry your kayak and put it in beside the ramp or somewhere other than in the middle of the ramp where people with boats (aka no where else to launch or carry their vessel) are trying to put in.

I use a set of these and roll to side of the ramp. Unless there is rip rap and I cant access anywhere else.

But usually i am camping so I just step outside and walk down to the beach

thats because I placed myself on both sides of each argument.... and the other side pisses me off.

    I kayak,

    I fish,

    I powerboat.

I am never gonna be on THAT side of the jetski argument.

I fully believe there should be a one day season for jetskiers.

and THEY wont know what day it is.......

There's nothing more aggravating than 50 head swimming in the middle of the river when the water is low in the summer. It's almost tempting to run some of the white trash over when they expect you to sit the boat down on a sandbar cause they're stupid selfs block the middle of the river.

They should build a jet ski, jon boat, kayak - 2 lane launch away from the main ramp at Remley's.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

I need to catch me some bass and post up some pics of my drying them out in some hot grease. That should get your mind off the kayaks.

How about a Yankee midget on a kayak with a cooler full of bass iced down on the back, and a boykin sitting on the front?
