    Default 16.4 and 16.5

    How'd y'all do?

    16.4

Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 13 minutes of:
    55 deadlifts
    55 wall-ball shots
    55-calorie row
    55 handstand push-ups

Men deadlift 225 lb. and throw 20-lb. ball to 10-ft. target
Women deadlift 155 lb. and throw 14-lb. ball to 9-ft. target

    182 for me

    16.5

    21-18-15-12-9-6-3 reps for time of:
    Thrusters
    Burpees

    Men use 95 lb.
    Women use 65 lb.

14:19, around a 6 minute PR for me compared to 14.5

    I'm glad it's over!

16.4 was a blast. I may have blown through the deads too quickly, I redlined and wasnt able to recover. I scored 172.

16.5 is my nemesis workout. I broke up every set of thrusters up to 9. But still didnt help I finished at 25:37. I really hate this workout.

First full open for me and I was more than satisfied, it showed me that I have some glaring holes in my cardio that I need to work on. But my strength and ability to do the movements were much improved. Glad its over no doubt.

    Nice job!

I learned from my mistake on 14.5(emptied the tank quick) . I broke the 21's/18's/15's into equal sets of 3, did the 12 in 2 equal sets, did all 9, 6 and 3 unbroken. For burpees, I stepped down and came to a knee, then stepped to the bar for each and every last one of them until the round of 3.

    I scored a 165 with a 10:55 tie break time on 16.4 Damn a HSPU. Won't do 'em and don't care.

16.5 is just a big ol bucket of suck. 23:32 Rx. Went 11/10, 7/6/5, 6/5/4, 6/6, 9, 6, 3 on thrusters. Bite, chew, swallow, repeat on burpees. I wasn't built for burpees and I purposely do them real slow in protest.

16.5 is the only Open workout that I did. Unfortunately, I've hardly been doing metcons at all for the last 6 months or so and it showed. I've been spending what little time i have lifting for maximal strength and training and sparring in Brazilian Jui-Jitsu trying to get ready for a tournament on the 16th.

With those excuses out of the way..I enjoy thrusters but flipping hate burpees....I put up a 15:40 Rx
